The FSU Seminoles landed another recruit on the heels of getting Michael Snaer(SG/SF, 6’5″, 2009), this time it’s forward Okaro White (SF/PF, 6’8″, 2010), who also had offers on the table from Clemson, Georgia Tech and Miami. White is an intriguing player; he’s got the size to play in the post but plays a little more like a small forward. It’s hard to tell where he’ll be used, in the limited time I’ve seen him play, he’s looked like he has some offense and ability to put the ball on the floor, but really wasn’t using his size like a big man.
Of course, White is a 2010 player and will have time to develop more of his game by the time he reaches Florida State. He should be a player that can get some minutes in the ACC. He plays for Clearwater High School in, naturally, Clearwater, FL and here’s a video preview of his upcoming high school season:
Not a whole lot of basketball footage, but you can see Okaro talking to the camera right in the first few seconds, and then he’s being interviewed for most of the clip. This video was not during a game, so it’s mostly just Okaro dunking for footage, but it still shows his length and how he can play facing the basket.

FSU got their wish yesterday when they landed Michael Snaer (SG/SF, 6’5″, 2009), top player who will probably get major minutes for the Seminoles. Florida State has made major recruiting gains over the past two years and could be a team to watch.
Snaer brings scoring to the Seminoles, and can shoot from outside, although at this point he’s probably more small forward than shooting guard.

Despite one rumor that rounded the internet a few weeks ago that said Michael Snaer (SG/SF,6’5″,2009) has committed to Florida State, he has not made any decision. However, he is about to visit the ‘Noles, and then follow up with a visit to Marquette:
About a month ago, reports circulated on the Internet about an oral commitment to Florida State. He denied the rumors, but apparently, will be checking out Tallahassee on Friday. Beyond that, a trip to Marquette looms in two weeks for Snaer, who put in the hard work when he needed to and is now reaping the benefits.
Seems like things are moving right along just as Michael said they would, and he is taking his time to make his decision. Nothing wrong with that.

Even though recently it was heavily reported (and rampantly rumored) that Michael Snaer (SG/SF, 6’5″, 2009) was down to choosing between Florida State and Missouri, he’s recently continued to look at UCLA.
Now it seems that he’s still looking at Marquette, with an official visit planned:
MU has scheduled an official visit with Michael Snaer for the weekend of Sept. 19-21, to coincide with Al’s Run.
John Wall playing pickup at Kentucky
I have no idea if this rumor has any credibility, but Wildcat fans are rumoring that John Wall will play pickup ball with the Kentucky team at 2pm today.
